ABOUT US “PRKUTYUN” CENTER OF DISABLED CHILDREN NGO was registered by the decree N40/2-2 of the RA Ministry of Justice on October 17, 1997. The municipality of Yerevan Shengavit community issued a decree on December 18, 1999, granting “PRKUTYUN” NGO 700 sq. meter territory (Chekhov 33, entrance from Manandyan street) at the kindergarten N298 for implementation of its programs. Mission Our mission is to favor solutions to social, educational and healthcare problems of disabled children and their families through training, consultation, awareness campaigns, provision of medical services, as well as through mediation and humanitarian aid, thus implementing their full integration into the society. Goals Encourage self-expression of disabled children by removing psycho-personal barriers Render assistance to disabled children, particularly, mentally retarded children with their education and integration into the society Assist disabled children in acquiring professional, craft and computer skills through training and mediation Promote disabled children’s spiritual and cultural development Raise awareness among disabled children’s parents of the rights and duties of their children through mass media and other campaigns "Prkutyun" NGO is member of Questions which conserenet to invalides close to Prime Minister of Republic of Armenia: Disability Council at the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia RA National Network for protection of children “Toward Education for All” Coalition “Prkutyun” Center of Disabled Children NGO cooperates with state and non-governmental agencies, individuals, as well as with local and international NGOs and other organizations. The NGO’s activities are encouraged and appreciated by different state agencies, thanks to which “Prkutyun” NGO was awarded various diplomas and letters of acknowledgement The staff of “Prkutyun” NGO is comprised of 21 members. President of “Prkutyun” NGO is Arpenik Hrach Abrahamyan.
